“Connecting Kids with Nature”
Exploring Chimon Island
Increasingly the bond between nature and the young is breaking.

The Friends of the Norwalk Islands is dedicated to connecting children with nature by offering outdoor recreational and educational activities through our local National Wildlife Refuge.

By introducing young people to the natural wonders around them, we are providing enjoyable opportunities that have been shown to improve their physical ability; enhance their academic performance; and foster self-esteem.
